The poll, commissioned by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), shows that 67% of the over 1,100 adult respondents believe Trump was either 'significantly' or 'somewhat' responsible for.
The poll is a name of the part of an animal's head, alternatively referencing a point immediately behind or right between the ears. This area of the anatomy is of particular significance for the horse.
Specifically, the 'poll' refers to the occipital protrusion at the back of the skull. However, in common usage, many horsemen refer to the poll joint, between the atlas (C1) and skull as the poll. The area at the joint has a slight depression, and is a sensitive location. Thus, because the crownpiece of a bridle passes over the poll joint, a rider can indirectly exert pressure on the horse's poll by means of the reins, bit, and bridle.
Importance of the poll in riding[edit]
The poll is especially important in riding, as correct flexion at the poll joint is a sign that the horse is properly on the bit. Over-flexion, with the poll lowered and the neck bent at a cervical vertebra farther down the neck, is usually a sign that the horse is either evading contact or that the rider is trying to pull the horse onto the bit, rather than correctly ride from behind. In classical dressage, the poll should always be the highest point on the horse when the horse is on the bit. The horse is always relaxed over the poll, giving it a relaxed look when going about its job. When, for example, the third vertebra (C3) is the highest point on the neck, rather than the poll, it is a clear sign of incorrect work.

In President Trump's final Presidential Tracking Poll, 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approved of his job performance. Forty-eight percent (48%) disapproved. Those figures include 36% who said they Strongly Approve of the job Trump was doing and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gave him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -5. (see trends)

Over the course of his four years in office, President Trump's daily Approval Index ranged from a high of +13 immediately after his January 2017 inauguration, when his total approval number was 59%, to a low of -26 in early August 2017, when his total approval fell to 38%.

Tracking approval of President Trump's job performance on a monthly basis, his numbers improved steadily after August 2017, reaching a total approval of 50% for April 2019. In 2020, however, approval of Trump's job performance dropped after the coronavirus pandemic hit, with his monthly total approval falling as low as 45% for June 2020. In his final full month in office, Trump's monthly job approval was 47%.

By comparison, President Obama's monthly approval ran from a high of 59% in February 2009, his first full month in the White House, to a low of 44% in August and October of 2011. For December 2016, his final full month in office, Obama earned a monthly job approval of 56%. Forty-three percent (43%) disapproved.
Some readers wonder how we come up with our job approval ratings for the president since they often don't show as dramatic a change as some other pollsters do. It depends on how you ask the question and whom you ask.
